1. The 5 Stages of Bespoke Jewelry Fabrication

  • Stage 1: 3D Parametric CAD Modeling: Designing stone seats, prong tolerances, and finger curvature using specialized software (MatrixGold / RhinoJewel).
  • Stage 2: High-Resolution DLP 3D Printing: Printing high-precision castable resin prototypes with 25-micron layer resolution.
  • Stage 3: Investment Plaster Burnout: Flasks filled with refractory plaster are heated to 730°C over 12 hours, vaporizing the resin to leave a negative mold cavity.
  • Stage 4: Vacuum Induction Casting: Molten 18K gold is injected under positive argon pressure and negative vacuum suction to prevent porosity.
  • Stage 5: Hand Setting & Master Finishing: Setting gemstones under microscope and applying mirror or Florentine hand finishes.
