Micro-pavé setting involves setting hundreds of miniature diamonds (often 0.8mm to 1.5mm in diameter) across curved metal surfaces under high-magnification stereomicroscopes.

Bright-Cutting & Grain Raising

The stone setter drills precision seats, positions calibrated diamonds girdle-to-girdle, and raises microscopic beads of gold using a round-headed beader (millegrain tool). A polished flat graver then bevels the border walls (bright-cutting) to mirror the diamond facets.
